1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE

BODE Araç Kapı Sistemleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (“COMPANY”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the website www.bode-global.com.tr (“Site”) operated by it in order to operate the Site, remember user preferences and, where the user gives permission, analyze use of the Site.

This “Cookie Policy” has been prepared to provide information about the types of cookies and similar technologies used on the Site, their purposes of use, legal grounds, retention periods, and how users can manage their cookie preferences.

Detailed information on the general processing of personal data by the COMPANY is provided in the “General Privacy Notice”, while the general privacy approach applicable to the Site is set out in the “Privacy Policy”.

2. WHAT IS A COOKIE?

Cookies are small data files that may be stored on a user’s device through the internet browser when a website is visited.

Cookies may be used for purposes such as technically operating the website, providing security and session functions, remembering user preferences such as language, or, where permission is given, measuring use of the website.

Cookies may be cl1assified, by duration of use, as session cookies / persistent cookies and, by the party placing them, as first-party / third-party cookies.

3. COOKIE CATEGORIES USED ON THE WEBSITE

Under the current technical configuration of the COMPANY’s website, strictly necessary / functional cookies and analytics / measurement cookies subject to the user’s explicit consent are used.

A. Strictly Necessary / Functional Cookies: These are cookies used to ensure the basic operation of the website or to implement a preference explicitly requested by the user. Depending on their nature and purpose of use, these cookies may be used based on the applicable personal data processing conditions set forth under Article 5 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), without requiring explicit consent.

B. Analytical / Measurement Cookies: These are cookies used to measure Website usage, generate visitor and session statistics, and evaluate Website performance. These cookies are activated only where the user has provided explicit consent.

C. Advertising / Marketing Cookies: Under the current technical configuration of the COMPANY’s website, no cookies are used for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. MANAGING COOKIE PREFERENCES

When the Website is first visited, the user is informed about the use of cookies and is provided with the options “Accept All”, “Reject All” and “Manage Preferences”. If the user does not make any selection, analytics / measurement cookies are not activated.

If “Reject All” is selected; only technologies necessary for the operation of the Website and the provision of strictly necessary / functional features continue to be used; Google Analytics is not activated.

If “Accept All” is selected; the user consents to the use of analytics / measurement cookies and Google Analytics may be activated.

Ø Through the “Manage Preferences” option, the user may obtain information about strictly necessary cookies and may independently enable or disable analytics cookies.

The user may subsequently withdraw their explicit consent or change their cookie preferences through the "Cookie Settings" menu.

5. COOKIE PREFERENCE STORAGE AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

To remember the user’s cookie preferences, localStorage or similar local storage technologies may be used in the browser. This record is used solely to remember the user’s cookie preference and to apply the same preference mechanism on subsequent visits to the Site.

6. GOOGLE ANALYTICS

The COMPANY uses Google Analytics 4 for the purpose of measuring Website usage and performing statistical evaluations.

Google Analytics is not loaded and does not create analytics cookies unless the user explicitly enables analytics cookies or selects the “Accept All” option.

Where the user provides the required preference, visit and session information, online identifiers, IP address, and technical information relating to the device and browser may be processed as part of the technical operation of the Google Analytics service.

The cookies used within Google Analytics are created only after the user has consented to analytics cookies.

Explicit consent to the use of analytics cookies does not replace any legal mechanism that may be required for the transfer of personal data abroad under Article 9 of the KVKK.

7. GOOGLE MAPS AND EXTERNAL CONTENT

The COMPANY uses an embedded map service provided through Google Maps on its contact page.

Google Maps content is not loaded unless the user explicitly activates it by selecting the “Show Map” option, and no connection with Google services related to this feature is established before such activation.

If the user activates the map, the user’s IP address, device / browser information and similar technical information may be processed by Google and transferred to Google service infrastructures located abroad for the technical provision of the map service.

The user is not required to activate Google Maps; not displaying the map does not prevent the use of the other functions of the Website.

8. CROSS-BORDER TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

Use of Google Analytics, Google Maps or the infrastructure of other service providers located abroad may result in personal data being transferred abroad. Such transfers are carried out only if one of the applicable conditions set out in Article 9 of the KVKK is met.

Before activating or continuing to use a service involving regular cross-border data transfers, the COMPANY evaluates the parties to the transfer, the data categories, the purposes of transfer and the applicable legal transfer mechanism.

9. MANAGING COOKIES THROUGH THE BROWSER

Users may use their internet browser settings to view or delete cookies stored on their devices or block the use of certain cookies.

Completely blocking certain strictly necessary or functional cookies through the browser may cause some features of the Site not to work as expected.

Nevertheless, the COMPANY follows the principle of providing a direct preference option on the Site for non-essential analytical cookies rather than leaving this preference solely to browser settings.

10. RIGHTS UNDER THE KVKK

Site users have the rights set out in Article 11 of the KVKK in relation to their personal data. For the methods and explanations concerning the exercise of these rights, the “KVKK Data Subject Application Form” published on the COMPANY website may be consulted. Detailed information on the general processing of personal data is available in the “General Privacy Notice”.
